In fact, back in February, I organized a get together, a mini-mini symposium with a bunch of fellows in Michigan over two days, the first in a Woodcraft store, and the second in one of the fellows shops near Sarnia, and we had a great time. The bonus was that I've already made a couple of good friends out of it.
So I guess I didn't really answer your question about looking for someone nearby to travel with, but you now have my thoughts on it.
BTW, Orangeville is a little less than an hour for me, and I used to pass throught a couple of times every week when I had my place up in Grey, and I always stopped at the big Zehr's on Highway 10 to stock up.
I'm in the area. At this point I'm really hemming and hawing. So far I've only decided to go three times, and decided not to go about four, so as of today, I'm not going, but honestly, at this point, I just don't know, but am leaning towards not going. I just came back from a course at Marc Adams, and I'm going back there to take Malcolm's advanced segmenting course in September, so to go to three woodworking things in one year, there some big budget issues that we're talking about at home.
In any event, if you want to keep in touch, I'll be happy to do that, because you never know, I might change my mind again. In the meantime, if you want to get together for lunch or something one day, and perhaps chew the fat at one of our shops for a bit, I'm certainly open to arranging something.
