I haven't been finishing any segmented pieces lately so I thought I might post these. They are kinda segmented. and they were turned on the lathe. I guess that counts, eh? and they play pretty well, too.
Maple, walnut and zebrawood, and maple, purpleheart and another brown wood that I forgot what it was(or never knew in the first place). probably about 2 feet long each.
Kinda fun to make and play-even if I can only do that when no one is in ear shot-jealous family members you know.
Comments always welcome. Thanks for lookin-Robin

Robin,
It's at least 2 pieces glued together so it qualifies in my mind. Anyway, They look neat so I'm glad you shared them.

Hi Robin – Wondered where you’ve been. I agree with Al. You have 2 or more pieces of wood stuck together and turned qualifies. Obviously these were not just “stuck” together. Not only are they beautiful pieces, they also are functional. This is the optimum marriage. Also, the photograph is perfect. If I had a vote, it would be photo of the week. - Dave

Robin, These are really cool. Do they play as good as they look? Great presentation and photo too. - Craig

Robin, these are beautiful flutes. I've been making them, too, and they really are fun to make. I'm hoping to make my next ones by boring the chambers from solid stock. Have you made any that way?
