Robin Costelle

This month’s featured demonstrator is on Robin Costelle who will be one of the symposium’s featured demonstrators.  Robin has been a long time member of our chapter, is a frequent contributor on our forum and has become a popular demonstrator at our past symposiums for his high energy presentations and wide variety of skills.

Robin lives on a small farm in Fern Creek Kentucky outside of Louisville where he was born.   He lives in a log cabin with his wife Connie and 3 children who are currently in college.

Robin started turning in 2004 to make spindles for a porch he was making but became interested in turning bowls and vessels. This interest grew to encompass a wide variety of techniques including segmenting, vessels, sculptural pieces, and mixed media. He has also made dulcimers, flutes, and furniture.  All of these growing interests slowed the completion of those porch spindles but they did finally get done   His current shop is a 30×30 log structure but he has to share it with the family cars.

Robin is a man of many talents and we are fortunate to have him as a demonstrator again in St. Louis.  His rotations will likely be well attended so get to the room early for a good seat.
