Bud Latven has been one of the pioneers of the artistic woodturning. Starting his career as a custom furniture maker in the 70’s, he began exploring woodturning as an art form in the early 80’s and began creating turnings using classic forms which he studied in Italy and Greece. By the early 90’s his work was evolving to the sculptural forms incorporating negative space that we all recognize as his body of work today. Bud’s work has been pushing the limits of woodturning for over 30 years and his artwork can be found in numerous museums and private collections.
