We’re proud to announce that the 6th Segmented Symposium will be held at the beautiful Marriott St. Louis West hotel on October 12-14, 2018!
We’ve assembled a team of demonstrators that will provide instruction and inspiration on a wide variety of segmenting topics. We’ve also selected rotations that will cover skill levels from absolute beginners to highly advanced topics. In short, there will be something for everyone. We will have simultaneous rotations in five separate classrooms and as usual, some rotations will be presented multiple times.
St. Louis was selected for this symposium because it is within an easy drive from many major cities. St. Louis also has a multiple woodturning clubs and a proven commitment to segmented woodturning. The local AAW chapters have agreed to help us with volunteers, logistics, turning equipment, and other necessities.
As at past symposiums, there will be an Instant Gallery, a Vendor Trade Show and a banquet where we will honor our friend Bill Smith with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
We encourage you to bring your spouse or companion and we’ve arranged a great day-long tour of some of the amazing destinations in St. Louis.
