Woodworking: Started in the mid 1980s. All flat work ie: furniture, boxes, humidors, etc. In 1999 read an article on Ray Allen. There was a photo of Ray sitting inside a huge, segmented bowl on the lathe. I had to try this. I had some experience with metal lathe work so it wasn’t a large stretch. Now, 80% of my work is segmented. Having traveled so much in my work, I couldn’t belong to a club so this forum has been a godsend to me.
Personal: Happily married to Louise for 37 years. Two terrific adult children, Katherine and Jacob. Fifteen year prostate cancer survivor.
Work: Recently retired. 40+ years in various sales areas providing piping materials to the natural and propane gas industries. Traveled extensively throughout the US and Canada.
